Abstract:
The proprietary content management system (CMS) ArchivalWare is a business product developed by PTFS. Because of its webbased technology, there is no need for complex installations on the client-systems: A thin-client with an active network connection and a webbrowser is enough to run ArchivalWare as a user. It natively supports 255 dataformats with the corresponding metadata and is extendible through an open PlugIn system. But simple handling for a broad spectrum of files isn't the only advantage of this program: ArchivalWare is suitable for almost every task with the right component provided by PTFS like library components, crawler-, business process management- and geospatial- applications.
