Bibsonomy

Abstract:
Bibsonomy administrates web-bookmarks and publications. Weblinks or publications can be saved on the BibSonomy server. Only requirement is the adding of keywords (tags) to the entry (obligatory), so that they can be found and sorted easier. This idea is similar to that of bookmarks in your internet browser. Benefit of BibSonomy is the data access from any place. Additionally entries can be shared with other users.

Architecture (Text):
BibSonomy provides a web service with Representational State Transfer (REST), a software architecture for distributed Hypermedia systems. Either you can access the API with the provided, Java-based client library or interact directly with the web service if you want to use a client with another programming language. Additionally a customised JabRef client is implemented.
