Abstract:
Beside bibliographic management Citavi provides a variety of possibilities in the area of knowledge organisation, i.e. the research in subject-related databases and library catalogues, literature refurbishment in form and content, the generation of citation collections, texts and to-do-lists or the automatical creation of bibliographies with different citation styles. The Citavi Free application has every function of the full version Citavi Pro. A free demo version can be downloaded. The only contraint is, that every project in Citavi Free can store 100 records only. But there is no temproal limitation. However Citavi Pro is a fee required software for literature research online (in over 4,000 databases and library catalogues), bibliographical management ( automatical bibliographies with over 700 citation styles) and knowledge organisation (keeping quotes, thoughts and comments in mind). Quotes can be scanned with a line scanner (i.e. C-Pen) and the identified text can be integrated to Citavi directly. Site licenses are available.
